Individual and Family Intervention and Consulting Services
Families have the ability to either retain Talbot Health and Wellness on an annual basis by utilizing the Recovery Management Support System (RMSS), or by accessing treatment options through more traditional therapeutic protocols. In either case, families have the benefit of close to 4 Decades of Hank's work experience in the addictions field to help them navigate through the addiction treatment process.
Talbot Health and Wellness provides effective advocacy for the identified addict (IA) throughout the treatment process, beginning with the introduction of strategies into the family system that will intervene in the addiction process and promote the IA's access to treatment. The case-management function will be a living document that is fluid and updated continuously as the IA moves through the treatment continuum. The IA will collaborate with the development of their own Individualized Relapse Prevention Plan. Each plan will use information gathered from the IA's substance use and treatment history to support identifying high-risk situations, triggers, and patterns directly related to the risk of relapse. The IA and his/her family will be assisted with the development of recovery based goals and objectives in the form of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Services
- Initial consultation and family assessment (mandatory).
- Development of IFSP.
- Implementation of IFSP.
- Facilitation of referral to treatment.
- Transport or escort to treatment when appropriate.
Individual and Family Therapy
Talbot Health and Wellness provides primary therapy for both individuals and families on a long-term or short-term basis.
Coaching
- Provide ongoing support and active involvement with the client’s progress through treatment by maintaining contact with the client, primary counselor, and discharge planning staff. This will be accomplished via site visits, telephone, Skype, and/or e-mail.
- Work with treatment staff to develop a discharge plan.
- Supportive therapy and case-management over-site relating to the implementation of a discharge plan.
- Support with the transition back to primary residence or establish a new residence.
- Make arrangements for ongoing urinalysis testing and supervision.
- Provide individualized support for successful re-integration into community.
- Recovery coaching via personal visits, telephone, Skype and/or email.
Recovery Management Support System (RMSS)
RMSS provides the entire family with case-management, therapeutic support, and advocacy for a minimum of one year after the initial contract date. RMSS is designed to operate the same as the professional monitoring programs such as those utilized by physicians, nurses, lawyers, pilots, and pharmacists. These programs report levels of success in the high 80th percentile. The cost of the RMSS is individualized according to the needs of the family.
Additional charges will be applied depending on the utilization of the services mentioned below. These costs are consistent with charges applied to individuals and families utilizing services outside of RMSS

Treatment Matching
Families will be provided with guidance and support in relation to finding the most appropriate placement for the identified addict. Substance use history and patterns in conjunction with treatment history, motivation, type of insurance, and available resources are some of the factors to be considered in developing a treatment strategy for the entire family.
Education
Talbot Health and Wellness is available to provide comprehensive addiction orientated educational opportunities within a variety of forums.
Transportation
Talbot Health and Wellness is available to provide safe professional transportation to and from treatment. The cost will be assigned on a case by case basis.
Men and Women Early Recovery Groups
Talbot Health and Wellness provides gender-specific groups focused on early recovery issues. New groups are currently being developed; please call the office for more information.
Corporate Support
Talbot Health and Wellness is available to provide a variety of health and wellness educational and therapeutic supports to its corporate clients. These services can be retained both on an annual basis or by individual sessions.
Talbot Health and Wellness provides contracted representation to corporate members within the treatment arena. Representation is available at conferences and trade shows for recovery based treatment service providers. These services can also include organizing lectures, luncheons, business dinners, and other events that further promote the utilization of services owned and operated by our corporate clients.
